Hey everyone!

Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings

NOVICA, in association with National Geographic, works together with talented artisan designers around the world to produce stunning, keepsake treasures. Our mantra is to spread global happiness, so rest assured - we'll do everything we possibly can to ensure you're a happy customer.

About this item: Superbly crafted of sterling silver, this design evokes the lush Thai rainforest. Aoy presents earrings shaped like lacy teardrops. .925 Sterling silver 1.6" L x 0.4" W x 0.3" D Hook earrings

About our Artist: Sawasdee ka! My name is Rudklow Patanaanunwong, but everyone calls me Aoy. I come from a warm family environment from Bangkok, though I am an only child. I hold Bachelor and Master Degrees in Economy from Northeastern University. My intention after graduation was to work for the Bank of Thailand, but I changed my mind when I met my husband. We got married and I moved to Chiang Mai, where my husband has a silversmith workshop. I began to work there to help him. At first we only sold our silver jewelry Chiang Mai, then we began to receive orders from different places, some from abroad. I speak English, so we thought it a good idea to pursue a place in the international market, so we increased our collections to include more trendy designs. I would say I lead a regular life style. I do not care for luxury, I am very happy with my life as it is now. The greatest challenge I have had to face was moving to Chiang Mai. I had no idea what it would be like, and I didn't know anyone other than my husband. I was greatly impressed by the warm welcome I received from my husband and his relatives. They are so loving, and I have such a happy life, that I am very glad I moved here. I am very proud that we get to promote our silver jewelry in the international market. My goal for the future is that someday our silver jewelry will be well-known. In fact, I would love it if Chiang Mai silver arts became recognized...

My Thoughts

These earrings are gorgeous but much smaller than I expected them to be, however I am still very much in love with them. They feel great and aren't heavy when wearing them. The details in these earrings are great and make them so much more than just a pair of earrings. The best part is that with the purchase of these you are working with National Geographic to make sure things made in other countries are in fair trade. I love being a part of that and knowing what I purchase is done fairly and the people that make the products are being paid fairly and paid what they should.
