My Thoughts
First, I want to apologize for the poor pictures. I had pictures of both this fudge and the next one that I will be reviewing but my camera's memory card failed and I have lost all of my pictures that were on it. So, I do apologize for that. I did manage to find a picture of the packaging and a picture of the fudge and it looks exactly like the fudge I had but the picture is not mine, but I promise the review is mine and all mine.
To me, this fudge looked a lot like the peanut butter fudge but as soon as you unwrapped the golden wrapper you could tell that it was lemon because the smell poured out of the packaging. It smelled soo good and tasted even better.
I love lemon treats so much out of every other flavor. I mean seriously, I will pick lemon over everything. Well, almost everything. I mean I do love my strawberry too but for the most part lemon wins out in the end. So, when I saw they had a lemon cheesecake fudge I was all over it. And I was not disappointed.
Because I love lemon so much, I have tried a lot, and I mean a lot, of lemon flavored treats. Some were good and some were, well, not so good. I can be very snobby when it comes to my lemon. I want it to taste real but not be over powering. I want just a hint of sweetness and that yummy tanginess that you can only get from a nice fresh lemon.
Now, let me tell you, this fudge had all of that. It had that tanginess of the lemon that you knew it was fresh and that hint of sweetness that made it oh so good and then the cheesecake that just set everything off. It was delicious! With everything together though, it's kind of funny because it honestly tasted like a lemon ice box pie which was fine with me because I love that stuff too. Honestly, if you enjoy lemon treats you are in for an amazing treat because this fudge is in my top favorite. I am literally going to have to buy more because it did not last long in my house at all. It was that good. And if you don't believe me then go and buy you some for yourself. I promise that you will not regret it.
